Chenaran

Chenaran is one of the cities of Khorasan Razavi Province. The capital of this city is Chenaran town and it consists of two parts Markazi and Golbahar and 5 villages which are Boghmaj, Chenaran, Radkan, Bizaki, Golmakan.

Chenaran was considered as one of the districts of Mashhad. The history of this city is mingled with the history of Mashhad and it is located in the northeast of Mashhad and is 75 km far from Mashhad.

This city is situated among Tous Valley, Hezar masjed and Binaloud Mountains and it is plain area and because of existence of the mentioned mountain ranges and Binaloud, it is flourishing and fertile.

Chenaran is limited to Dargaz and Quchan from north and northwest and northeast, and is limited to Kalat from east, to Mashhad from south and to Neyshabour from southwest and west.

Archeologists relate the history of this land to the civilization of the regions in the south of Turkmenistan and north of Khorasan which its history backs to the fifth millennium until the end of the third millennium B.C. One of the old towns of this area is Radkan which has too much importance. The climate of this city is cold and mountainous.
