Torrbat -heidariyeh Torbat-Heydarieh is one of Khorasan Razavi Province in the northeast of Iran. The capital of this city is Torbat-Heydarieh. Other towns are Bayg, Dolatabad, Robatsang and Kadkan. Torbat-Heydaieh is limited to Mashhad and Neyshabour from north, from west to Kashmar and Bardeskan, from east to Khaaf and Torbat-jam and from south to Gonabad. Torbat- Heydarieh consists of 5 parts which Feyzabad and Roshtkhar have been detached and they have been promoted to Mahvelat and Roshtkhar towns recently. Torbat-Heydaieh had been known as Zaveh in the past, although the historical background of zaveh refers to Pre-Islamic times (Ashkanian period) but the name of the city has been taken from the name of famous Gnostic of the sixth century (Ghotb Aldin Heydar.
