Whereas animal husbandry is completely dependant on the existence of desirable grasslands, there are rich grasslands for animal husbandry in the areas of Sarakhs, Hezar Masjed and Binalud mountain chains; it causes too much prosperity because of having suitable weather conditions and animal husbandry has a relative spread in the North areas of the province, in which there are partly valuable grasslands, in the East, South and Southwest of the province in which there are poor pastures, the prosperity of animal husbandry has been decreased proportionally. In addition to beekeeping, some birds like hens, turkey, and different kinds of cattle such as sheep, lamb, goat, kid, cow, calf and camel are raised in Khorasan Razavi.
