Mines

There are various mineral resources in Khorasan Razavi, which some of them have been exploited and have paved the way for establishing some industries. There are 165 active mines in the province that their annual exploitation is about 4/340/337 tons. According to the accomplished researches in the year 2001, the capacity of the resources of these mines is estimated about 898/197/487 tons. We can name the most important mines of this area  such as the quarry of Khaf, the stones and fireclay in Bajestan and Gonabad, Kaolin in Kashmar, turquoise in Neyshabour and gas in Sarakhs. In the continuation, we mention the type of the exploited minerals and the number of the related mines.
